Will Your Certificate Expire? Changes to RSA & RSG

On 1 July 2013, the Commonwealth Government assumed responsibility for the regulation of trainers offering Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) courses.

If you have received your Statement of Attainment for the RSA or the RSG BEFORE 1st July 2013 it will be recognised for three (3) years from the date it was issued.

If you have received your Statement of Attainment for the RSA or the RSG AFTER (or on) 1st July 2013 your Statement of Attainment will never expire and you will never need to complete those courses again.

As of 1st January 2014 a new qualification will supersede the current RSA and the current one will cease to be trained. It has yet to be seen whether or not the new qualification will be available online. Therefore if you wish to complete your RSA Course or RSG Course, now is the perfect time to do it. You can complete them online, and they will never expire!
