How long does a White Card last?

So, how long is a White Card valid for? The answer is that it remains valid while you are working within the construction industry. This means as long as you continue to work consistently, you shouldnt need to retake your White Card course. However, if you are out of the industry for two consecutive years or more, your card will become invalid. If your card becomes invalid, you will need to retake the course in order to obtain a valid White Card, again. This applies to all states and territories within Australia.

How to obtain a White Card

You can obtain a White Card by completing a White Card course through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as Express Online Training. For a few lucky Australian states, a White Card can be obtained through an online course. These states are Western Australia, Tasmania, and Queensland. Please note that online classes for the QLD White Card are currently only available for all Queensland residents. until the 31st of December 2020. However, if a candidate resides more than 100km from their nearest White Card training RTO in Queensland, they will still be allowed to complete the course online after this date.

For all other states and territories, a White Card course must currently be taken in a face-to-face setting.
